EA Sports Cup preview: Bohemians -v- Cabinteely
- Extratime Team
- Mon, Mar 26 2018
BOHEMIANS
Bohemians will look to follow up Friday night's victory over Bray Wanderers by booking their place in the second round of the EA Sports Cup as they welcome Cabinteely to Dalymount Park on Monday (kick-off 7.45pm).
The Gypsies faithful thought the worst as they saw their side go a goal behind to Bray after just three minutes before Ian Morris equalised a minute later.
The game remained even until stoppage time when Dinny Corcoran sent Bohs fans into raptures.
Keith Long's men started the season well, beating arch-rivals Shamrock Rovers 3-1 at Dalymount Park on the opening night.
However, since then Long's side had picked up just two points heading into Friday's game.
Ryan Swan and Cristian Magerusan will continue to miss out with long-term injuries.
Derek Pender is also set for a long spell on the sidelines after he missed Friday's game with a calf problem.
CABINTEELY
Cabinteely haven't had an ideal start to their First Division campaign.
Cabo suffered successive defeats to Wexford, Cobh and Galway before picking up their first points of the season in a 2-1 victory over Athlone on Monday, only to slip up on Friday night, by losing 3-1 to UCD in Belfield.
Cabo were without the likes of Conor Earley and Christian Lotefa for Friday's defeat in Belfield and it's not known if they'll recover in time for Monday night.
Pat Devlin was also forced to withdraw Joe Doyle, Andy O'Reilly and Conor Keeley during Friday's game, meaning they could also miss the trip to Dalymount.
