DERRY CITY
The Candystripes are on a run of nine games unbeaten as they get ready to welcome Galway United to Maginn Park tonight in the League of Ireland Premier Division.
Derry have a chance to move into third, above Bray Wanderers, if they can get the win against The Tribesmen tonight and if other results go their way.
City have already played United twice away from home. They were knocked out of the EA Sports Cup in April and they played out a scoreless draw with The Tribesmen in the Premier Division last month.
Manager Kenny Shiels is without the services of Rory Patterson and loan signings Nicky Low and Mikhail Kennedy. Patterson is due to return after the mid-season break, Low is out with a bruised foot and Kennedy has suffered a broken toe.
GALWAY UNITED
The Tribesmen travel to Buncrana after two disappointing defeats in a row against Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians and manager Shane Keegan is looking for his side to bounce back against Derry City tonight.
"We went into our last two games on the back of a long unbeaten run and we were doing well for a long time, so it's hard to suffer two poor results, it was a bit of a blow," Keegan told the club’s website.
"It's the first time we've taken a big blow in quite a while, it's all about resilience now.
"You couldn't ask for a tougher game, having to travel up to Buncrana to face Derry City, but it's also an opportunity for us to show what we're made of.
"We put on two good performances against Derry City already this season and that's given us confidence."
Jesse Devers has been ruled out of tonight’s game due to a bout of tonsillitis while Gavan Holohan will be assessed before the game as the midfielder is suffering from a groin injury.
Referee: Robert Harvey
