League Report: Bohemians 1-1 Galway United

Ten man Galway United earned their second point of the season as they held Bohemians to a draw at Dalymount Park. Both goals were scored in the first half, Dinny Corcoran for Bohs and Ronan Murray levelling things for United.
The game started with some chances at both ends but it was Bohemians who opened the scoring after 16 minutes when a Dinny Corcoran header beat Conor Winn at his back post following an in-swinging corner from Lorcan Fitzgerald from the left.
With less than 10 minutes to go in the opening period, Fitzgerald nearly provided his second assist of the evening. He swung in another corner which this time was met by Daniel Byrne, but his close range header hit the back post and bounced out.
Ronan Murray levelled things with a free kick from the edge of the area on the left. He had won the free kick himself when he was brought down by Shane Supple after getting in behind the Bohemians defence.
Following a more entertaining end to end game in the first half neither team really were able to get a foothold in the second period. There were a few half chances at either end but not a lot of final product from the attacking play.
Alex Byrne was dismissed following a second yellow card for clipping Fitzgerald's heels as he ran across him. Even with Galway down to 10 men for the last twenty minutes they managed to defend well and keep out the Gypsies.
In the dying minutes the Tribesmen had made a few chances on the break but were unable to make the final pass. It was a half where the main positive was not conceding goals. In the end the draw was a fair result for both sides.
