COBH RAMBLERS
The Ramblers round off their season with the visit of newly crowned champions Waterford on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors were pushed all the way by the home side throughout the season, and boss Stephen Henderson says he's proud of his players.
"Firstly I'd like to congratulate Waterford. They've been fantastic this season, and they're going to be a force to be reckoned with in the Premier Division next year.
“Congratulations to Alan Reynolds and his players and staff.”
Discussing his own side’s 2017 season, he told his club’s media team that he was delighted with his charge’s application throughout the year.
"From our point of view, I'm delighted with how our lads kept right in touch with Waterford all season.
“We have a very young squad, and to push an excellent team like Waterford so far shows the quality we have here at the club”, Henderson added.
With the game being moved to a 3pm kick-off, Henderson is hopeful a big crowd will come out for the last game of the season against his old employers.
"It would be great if people came out and give these lads the send off they deserve. They're an honest, hard working bunch.
So, it would be great for the our supporters to come out and get to the ground on Saturday afternoon."
The Corkonians have a fully fit squad from which to choose for the game, with no injuries or suspensions to note.
WATERFORD
After winning the First Division title exactly three weeks ago, Waterford travel down the N25 to the team that ran them closest.
On the 15th of September, Waterford won 0-3 away to Wexford. A day later, Cobh hosted Cabinteely knowing they had to win the match to stand a chance of catching the Blues but lost 0-3.
Alan Reynolds' men are also currently on a 10 game unbeaten streak in the league so will no doubt want to keep that run going into the premier division next year.
Waterford have not released any team news for this game.
