CABINTEELY
Fourth placed Cabo will be looking to hold on to their current position when they host Wexford on Friday night with an in form Longford Town just one point behind them in the First Division.
Pat Devlin’s men will be looking to respond after suffering a 0-3 defeat last week at the hands of Waterford.
WEXFORD
Bottom of the table Wexford face a tough task against South-Dublin’s Cabinteely on Friday night.
It’s been a tough season for the south-east side so far but they’ve had somewhat of an upturn in form over the past four games. Their win against Shelbourne in May and last week’s 2-2 draw with Athlone Town has seen the club double their points tally quickly.
Wexford will be facing Cabinteely in buoyant form and could be out to cause a shock in Stradbrook.
Owen McCormack was absent for the draw against Athlone Town but he will be back in contention for Friday night’s trip to Dublin. Shane Dunne has also returned to training but Friday’s game comes too soon for the Meath man.
Wexford have also announced the signing of two midfielders, Mickey Byrne and Dean Kelly who are available for selection for tomorrow’s game.
Despite the positives Damien Locke’s side will be without Andrew O’Connor who serves the second of his three game ban after being sent off against Cobh Ramblers they also announced that midfielder Craig Wall will miss the remainder of the season due to a reoccurrence of a shoulder injury.
