FULL-TIME!
Akinade takes a tumble inside the box. There was definately contact but the ref feels Akinade either took a dive or he's getting done for a high foot. Either way it's a free out.
2 more minutes of additional time to play. Bohs are pressing high but I cannot see a winner arriving.
Ben Mohamed takes a neat touch wide left before pulling it back to Kavanagh who tries to bend it in, however it's too high and goes over.
Akinade is back on the field although it looks like he's struggling a little. Galway enjoying a good spell on the ball as we reach the closing stages.
Substitution!
Connolly slips a ball through to Devaney. He clips a cross/shot goalwards and it knocks off the crossbar before going out of play. Close for Galway. Akinade currently receiving treatment after he took a knock up the other end of the pitch.
Substitution!
Buckley takes it down the right wing. His cross is deflected towards the target but it bounces away from the goal before being booted away to safety.
Bohs in complete control here. They continue to fire balls into the Galway area, however, the Tribesmen continue to get it clear. They manage to break from a clearence and Cunnigham has a rare shot fir Tommy Dunne's side, however, it flies wide.
Substitution!
Hayes sends a deep ball into the box which meets the head of Paddy Kavanagh at the back post. He aims it low and forces Winn to parry it inside the area however Byrne's rebound shot is blocked by Folan.
Game going through a slight lull at the moment. Again, the surface is playing its part with neither side managing to get it under control and build a decent attack.
YELLOW CARD!
Another corner ball in by Bohs almost finds its way into the net, however, a Galway player heads it off the line. Mulcahy is first to meet it though and his snapshot rises just above the bar.
Substitution!
Bohemians now on top as they force a couple of corners. Galway continue to get it clear but Bohs looking the more likely as we pass the hour mark.
Attendance here tonight in Dalymount is 963.
Byrne has pushed up into the Bohs midfield with Prendergast stepping into the centre of defence. Byrne's first contribution in the middle of the park is a lovely curling ball into Buckley's left wing. His cross is good but there are no Bohs strikers in the area to meet it and Galway get it clear.
Substitution!
Galway have come out of the second-half blocks absolutely racing. Galway win another free-kick in a dangerous position. Connolly sends it in but its hooked away by Byrne.
YELLOW CARD!
Alex Byrne wins a free-kick just outside the box after some great work. Ref Robert Harvey brandishes not only a yellow card to Dan Byrne but also a fresh can of vanishing spray. The ref uses it to to the delight of the crowd and the Dalymount surface gets a coat of the vanishing spray for the first time in the stadiums history! Anyway back to important matters, Connolly's free-kick dips just over the bar.
YELLOW CARD!
SECOND-HALF!
Great work by Akinade leads to a last minute corner for Bohs. Mohamed swings it onto the head of Mulcahy but Winn makes the catch.
HALF-TIME!
Approaching the half-time mark and Bohs are beginning to find their feet again. Nice bit of play across the middle of the park from the Gypsies, it is an extremely slippy surface, however, making it difficult for both sides to keep hold of the ball for prolonged amounts of time.
YELLOW CARD!
Well they nearly did there! Again, Connolly finds buckets of space down the middle of the field. He's invited to take a shot by the Bohs defence and he obliges as he hits another thunderbolt on target. However, Delany makes another great stop to knock it away. Looked like an awkward one.
A lot of the game being played inside the Bohs half. Every loose ball is being picked up by a Galway player, however, they still can't find a break through.
Colm Horgan receies the ball just outside the box. He takes a touch and powers a shot on goal forcing Delany to acrobatically push it away for a corner. Galway really pressing here.
A ball breaks down the left and Kevin Devaney is able to reach it before Hayes. Devaney speeds into the open space before sliding it inside. Pender gets his foot to it but only half-clears. After a moment of hesitation Byrne gets it away.
YELLOW CARD!
GOAL!
Ryan Connolly scores for Galway United FC. What a reply from Galway United. After some decent build-up play, Connolly finds a pocket of space about ten yards from the D. He blasts it low and it drives by Delany into the bottom left corner. 1-1, game on!
Fantastic play from Quigley and Akinade. Quigly sweeps a ball down the right wing to Akinade who hits a beautifully lofted ball into the box where Quigey, who continued his run, volleys it first-time. It grazes the crossbar on its way over.
Quigley almost picks out Akinade with a brilliant through ball, however, Paul Sinnott gets the slightest of touches to ensure there's a bit too much pace on it for Akinade to chase down. Stephen Walsh clears.
Connolly sends another dangerous free into the Bohs box, however, Delany times his run off his line to perfection and claims the ball before a Galway attacker can get their heads to it.
Buckley lobs a looping ball down the right channel, releasing Akinade in the process. He tries to square it into Byrne but its sent out for a corner. Said corner is cleared by the United defence.
Sullivan receives a ball into the feet inside the Bohs area. He lays it on to Connolly who powers it goalwards but Delany pulls off a great stop at his near post to gather.
Galway react well to going down and are currently enjoying a decent spell in the Bohs half.
GOAL!
Ismahil Akinade scores for Bohemians. Buckley goes ona blistering run down the right, skips past a challeneg and then pulls it on to the foot of Akinade who makes no mistake in slotting it past Winn. 1-0 Bohs after ten minutes.
Lively start to this one. End to end stuff thus far. Let's hope it keeps up!
Ryan Connnolly whips a free kick in from the right wing, it meets the head of Faherty, hits off the post and into the net! Galway celebrate but the linesman flags for a free out, no goal!
Bohs in control in the opening stages here, Pender has a shot blocked for a corner and from the resulting kick Paul Sinnot is forced to nod it above his own crossbar to stop it going in.
Early offside call for Faherty. Dan Byrne knocks it up the pitch into Buckley who lines up a shot, however, it's blocked and cleared.
KICK-OFF!
The rain is absolutely pelting down on the Dalymount roof, so much so it's actually drowning out the sound the group of kids in the corner are making with their 'Will Grigg is on fire' chants, oh the shame! Teams have finished their warm-ups and we're about ten minutes away from kick-off.

Bohemians were going through a bit of a hot streak coming into the season break. They had won their last 4 games in all competitions on the bounce which included a 2-0 win in the FAI Cup against their opponents tonight Galway United. The Gypsies currently sit 8th in the table on 17 points, 5 behind Galway who are two places above in 6th. United, on the other hand, welcomed the season break with open arms as they were without a win in 3 in all comps, their last win was a 2-1 victory over Bray mid-May.
Good evening and welcome to Dalymount Park where Bohemians are set to entertain Galway United. League of Ireland action is back after the two-week Summer break. We're now in the business half of the season and both of these sides will certainly be looking to restart their seasons with 3 points. I'm Harry Manning and I'll be bringing you all of the latest updates as they happen here in Phibsboro. So, sit back, relax and let's hope we see some goals!
