ATHLONE TOWN
Last week's top of the table match away to Finn Harps ended in a 1-0 loss for the midlanders. The Town are now in third place in the league and have not won since their 1-3 victory over Shelbourne on 27th March 2015.
Manager Eddie Wallace has guided the midlanders to an impressive start to the season. One of Wallace’s top strikers in the form of Garbhan Coughlan already has four goals and will be looking to add a few more against the Airtricity League First Division new boys Cabinteely.
A back line of Brian Shorthall, Stephen Dunne, Aidan Collins & Phillip Hand have conceded just five goals, however Athlone have not kept a clean sheet since their 4-0 home win over Cobh Ramblers on the 13th of March.
CABINTEELY
After a two goal loss against UCD last week at home in Stradbrook, manager Eddie Gormley’s side desperately needs a morale boosting victory.
Cabinteely FC have struggled to score goals in their debut season in the Airtricity League First Division and with just two goals to their credit they are the lowest scoring team in the division with bottom side Cobh Ramblers not far off having only managed three goals to date.
Captain Robert Maloney was sent off last week for a second bookable offence which means he is suspended for the trip to Lissywoollen.
Cabo are now in a run of three defeats in a row having last been victorious in a 1-0 home win over Waterford United on 27th March 2015.
