Tolka Rovers take on Killester United in the third round of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup at 7:45pm at Frank Cooke Park on Friday night.
TOLKA ROVERS
Tolka Rovers head into their Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup Third Round fixture on the back of the news that ex-Bohemians and Sligo Rovers Manager Owen Heary is to help the club out, although his role is not expected to be for very long nor is it likely to have the managers tag stapled onto it.
"I was helping out with Dunard and I'll be doing something similar with Tolka, but it's not a long term role," Heary clarified while speaking to The Herald striker.
Heary went onto express his ideas that he intends to implement during his time with the Dublin club.
"I'm available and happy to go in and help train them and perhaps put a bit better shape on them," the 38 year-old continued.
"I'm going to try identify a few players although the timing is not great, but I'll be using my contacts to see what I can do," Heary added as he continued to speak to The Herald Striker.
Rovers saw off First Division side Waterford United to reach the Third Round of the competition, but if they're to get past Killester, they'll have to do it without Heary, who due to other commitments will not be available to take his first Tolka training session until next Tuesday.
KILLESTER UNITED
Killester travel to Frank Cooke Park looking to record their third win in this season's Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup.
The first round saw United dominate Dunboyne AFC at Haddon Park, as goals from David Lacey, Dylan O'Driscoll and David Fitzsimons helped the Dublin side to a 3-0 win.
Round two saw the visit of Cobh Ramblers, who were rejuvenated following the appointment of Stephen Henderson as manager. However, United played without fear and put in a tremendous performance to knock the First Division outfit out of the cup in a 3-0 rout.
United will make the trip to Frank Cooke Park with a full squad providing ex-UCD and Shamrock Rovers defender Michael Kelly recovers from an ankle knock in time.
