WEXFORD YOUTHS host champions Raheny United looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign and lay down a marker that they can be contenders themselves this season.
Nicola Sinnott and Jess Gleeson are injury doubts while Aisling Frawley returns from international duty for Wexford. Raheny United are without Shauna Newman while Siobhan Killeen is a doubt.
"This will be the biggest test for us so and will show us where we stand. It'll show whether we can challenge,” said Wexford coach Willie Doyle.
“They’re the champions and are playing Champions League football. It'll be a new challenge for some of the girls. It'll be a test for us but I'll be confident we can put in a good performance.”
Raheny boss Casey McQuillan acknowledges that all sides have had a stop-start early part to the season due to international duty while his own side also had UEFA Champions League duties to perform.
"The stop-start nature of things has been difficult. This will be a good game for us. Wexford are doing well under new management and beat us in the league cup last year and I’m sure will be looking to do the same to us again this time around,” said McQuillan.
“The UEFA games were a highlight of the last couple of weeks but we’ve just been training recently. It’s hard to get the girls to focus on league matters after the European games but that is the priority now.”
