LEADERS and champions Raheny United will host Peamount United on Sunday expecting a strong test from their young Dublin rivals.
Raheny boss Casey McQuillan has the height of respect for the work the Greenogue outfit are doing and has warned his side to take nothing for granted.
“It’s going to be a test for the squad. Peamount are a side that are learning all the time. If we aren’t at our best we’ll be punished,” he said.
“Peamount have a good manager and good players. I like what they’re doing. We’re looking forward to playing this one although we won’t have a game for a while afterwards. It’s the same for everybody just have to live with it.
“We’ve still not really hit top gear yet. We finished in top spot before Christmas so can’t get much better than that.”
Catherine Cronin has moved to UCD while McQuillan is likely to have to plan without international squad members Rachel Graham and Siobhan Killeen who picked up knocks in La Manga this week while Clare Conlon is also injured.
Peamount boss Robbie Mulligan will be delighted to get his side back on the pitch again as their last fixture was in November. They had drawn their previous three games in a row before that.
