DON O’Riordan’s Galway WFC go in search of their second home victory of the season against a Wexford Youths side that booked a League Cup Semi-final place on Wednesday night.
O'Riordan's Tribeswomen ran out 5-0 winners over Cork City Women's FC last weekend to record their biggest victory since joining the Continental Tyres Women's National League.
Three points for the Galway women in their final home league game of the year will see them leapfrog Castlebar into fifth place.
“I’m hoping that Wednesday night didn’t take too much out of us,” admitted Wexford boss Willie Doyle after his side progressed to the league cup semi-final’s at UCD Waves expense.
“We had a high tempo mid-week game, it was great result but it was a big effort especially as we’d gone 17 days without a game.
“Don has his side really well set up, they’ve turned Eamon Deacy park into a fortress there a really good outfit. It’s going to be a massive battle.
“It’s difficult on us having had no game for 17 days and this week we have two games in four days.”
Doyle has doubts over Becky Cashin, Kylie Murphy and Claire O’Riordan as they face a lengthy travel to Eamonn Deacy Park.
