LONGFORD TOWN
Longford will welcome a break from First Division action when they entertain Premier Division side Bohemians at the City Calling Stadium on Monday night for this EA Sports Cup Quarter Final clash.
Tony Cousin's men have over come Athlone Town and Mervue United to get to this stage and with their First Division campaign getting off to a slow start the home support will be hopeful of creating a considerable upset.
Longford are a side in a rich vein of form as they have won their past four games in a league that often doesn't get taken too seriously by many Premier Division fans. The same may be said for this competition but it would be a welcomed boost for the club based in the midlands as they attempt to chase down run away leaders Shelbourne in the First Division.
The only man that has been confirmed as unavailable for selection on Monday night is Rhys Gorman who is a long term absentee for the Town.
BOHEMIANS
Bohs have had a mixed start to their first full season under Owen Heary but will be high in spirits having secured a valuable point against Shamrock Rovers on Friday night.
The Gypsies have seen off UCD and Pats to reach the last eight of the often forgotten about League Cup.
Owen Heary will be hoping that his side can build on positive results achieved in the past few weeks as a defeat to a First Division outfit would do little to help his side continue to pick up vital league points.
Jake Hyland got two in the last round while Dinny Corcoran also got his name on the score sheet in the last round against St Pats so the duo will be hoping of more of the same this time round.
