Wexford Youths will host Shamrock Rovers in their opening home game of the new term looking to pick up their first win after an entertaining 2-2 draw with Galway WFC last week.
Jessica Gleeson and Clare Conlon remain doubts, Lauren Dwyer, Edel Kennedy and Kylie Murphy are also doubts, goalkeeper Mary Rose Kelly is unavailable for selection so Tamara Furlong is line to make her debut in goal.
“It’s a youthful squad but they’re talented players so it’s a good opportunity for them,” said Wexford’s Peter Doyle.
Shamrock Rovers boss Stephen Craig has added a whole new squad for the Hoops and is looking forward to seeing his side kick-start. “We’ll be out of the blocks on Sunday. We’ve signed a lot of new players and they’re getting to know each other. A few more weeks would have helped but you have to start somewhere.
“Wexford are a very good side with a good operation and are always well prepared so it’ll be a good test.”
