Wexford Youths welcome DLR Waves to Ferrycarrig Park on Saturday evening with both sides looking to kick-start their pursuit of third placed Castlebar Celtic.
The home side have had a frustrating time with injuries. Jessica Gleeson (foot), Katie McCarthy (knee) and Jenny Clifford (knee) are out injured while Clare Conlon is unavailable. On the positive front, Kylie Murphy has made good progress from her own knee injury and featured in a 1-1 draw with Swansea last weekend, playing the final 20 minutes.
“We’ve had our injury problems but the positives are that a lot of players have taken their opportunity. There has been very little between ourselves, DLR and Castlebar recently. At this point we’re looking for results,” said Wexford’s Peter Doyle.
DLR Waves boss Larry Mahoney has a doubt over Niamh Connolly (hip) while Alison Brien, Lauren Kavanagh and Carla Moran remain absent. “There won’t be much between the sides. It’ll be down to how it falls on the day. We had a very good win down there last year which was next to our Peamount result in terms,” he said.
