Cork Women’s FC will look to make life difficult for champions Raheny United when they visit Bishopstown on Sunday. The Munster side were unfortunate to go down 2-1 to Castlebar Celtic last weekend.
For Cork Angie Carry, Olivia Dawson and Natalie Coughlan are unavailable but new signings Amy Dinneen and Chloe Sheen are set to come in. Colette Dunne and Lynsey McKey are out through injury.
Raheny won all three league meetings between the side last season so will head to Cork with confidence. They beat DLR Waves 4-0 in their opening fixture last weekend.
Niamh Reid-Burke and Ciara Grant are not available for Raheny but Pearl Slattery has returned from injury. Seana Cooke is back after work commitments ruled her out last week and goalkeepers Grace McAuley and Emma Merrigan are both available.
Raheny coach John Walsh said: “The new manager Terry Eviston has started now and had his first introduction to the girls. He’s looking forward to getting the show on the road. I was delighted with how we did last week scoring four goals and we’ll hope to more clinical if we can. We know Cork always give Raheny tough games so it’ll be a test on Sunday.”
