Castlebar Celtic will kick-off the new campaign with a limited squad due to GAA commitments for some of their squad members while injuries have ruled out Shauna Jackson (quad) and Nicole Fowley (broken toe) while Maz Sweeney (Achilles) is a doubt.

 

New Celtic boss Adrian Carberry is looking forward to his first competitive game with the Mayo side: “I saw it as an interesting challenge when I was asked to take over and although I hadn’t seen an awful lot of the team in action before I’ve known a lot of the players through Gaynor Cup squads from the past.

 

“I know that there are a lot of talented players in the Connacht area and once everybody becomes available when their other commitments are finished we will have a strong squad capable of giving anybody a good test.”

 

Cork are without injured Lynsey McKey (knee) while Angie Carry is out of the country. The kick-off has been brought forward an hour from its original announced time.
