SALTHILL DEVON
Salthill Devon welcome Cobh Ramblers to Drom on Friday evening for this Airtricity First Division clash (kick-off 7.45pm).
Salthill currently sit bottom of the First Division and are six points off Cobh but the Galway men will take heart from their spirited performance last time out against high flying Athlone Town.
After a slow start to the season Salthill have now managed to pick up seven points in their last five games to give them a slim chance of getting off the bottom of the table. Many suspect that Salthill are in their last year in the Airtricity League and in the First Division as the club must reapply for membership of the league if they finish in the bottom two. The FAI have already made it clear that they intended on having one club in Galway next year if at all possible.
Salthill have a near full strength side to choose from with just the one suspension to deal with as Andrew Peters sits this one out due to the accumulation of four yellow cards.
COBH RAMBLERS
The Cork based club have at times struggled to adjust to life in the Airtricity First Division with this being their first season back in the league.
Cobh will be targeting this game as a must win if they are to pull themselves out of the bottom two before the end of the season. Like Salthill, Cobh have also been in good form of late having secured eight points out of a possible fifteen over the past few weeks.
Cobh know that a win on the road is going to be a tough ask but that if they do manage to get a victory they give themselves the opportunity to leapfrog Finn Harps and Wexford Youths into fifth place.
There are no known injury or suspension concerns for Cobh as they head into the game as slight favourites.
