Shamrock Rovers -v- Castlebar Celtic
- Extratime Team
- Sat, Apr 06 2013
This fixture was brought forward from its originally scheduled date of April 17 and will take place at the AUL Complex in Clonshaugh.
Castlebar return to Dublin on a high after beating DLR Waves last weekend while the Hoops will look to build on an improved display against Raheny United. They are without U19 internationals Sarah Rowe and Emma Hansberry but hope to have Lisa Casserly back after U17 duty.
“Last week was a pleasing result. We had to weather the storm then scored twice and produced a good defensive display to get the three points. We will look to build on that against Rovers,” said Castlebar coach John Morris-Burke.
Rovers are without their U19 international Orla Nolan while Rebekah Carroll suffered a knee injury on U17 international duty so may be a doubt. Zara Dllon injured her ankle against Raheny and is expected to sit this game out.
“We were pleased with how we did last week and the Raheny players said afterwards that they were surprised that we’ve struggled for results this season as much as we have done. I feel we’re getting better and we’ll be looking to build on how we did last week,” said Hoops coach Stephen Craig.
