Michael O’Neill’s Shamrock Rovers will be looking to go level on points with league leaders Sligo Rovers when they welcome Bray Wanderers to Tallaght Stadium.
Rovers currently lie in third place behind Sligo and Derry City but have two games in hand and will be looking to make the most of their first game in hand tomorrow.
O’Neill will not be able to call upon Dean Kelly or Ken Oman who are both ruled out through injury while Craig Sives is a doubt with a groin strain.
The Rovers boss stressed that they must move on from their recent cup defeat to Sligo and concentrate on the league: “This game is a chance for us to re-focus on the league, especially after the disappointment of the defeat to Sligo in the Cup earlier in the week. We have to move on from that, and this is the perfect way to do it.
“We have seven huge games left in the league – five at home. And that starts against Bray this weekend. The focus needs to be right, but the players know that, and I have no doubt it will be. We obviously also have the European thing at the moment, but the league is our number one priority and will be for the rest of the season.”
Bray Wanderers have already come out on top of the Tallaght side twice this season and will be able to call on Danny O’Connor who returns from suspension.
Gary Dempsey has recovered from an injury picked up last Wednesday and should take part for Pat Devlin’s side.
Devlin emphasised that his side will have no fear ahead of the clash earlier this week saying; "Rovers are the team to beat and we will go out and give it our best shot".
