Sporting Fingal will look to bounce back from their 4-3 defeat in Sligo on Friday night, while Bray Wanderers can move off the foot off the table with a win in the Morton Stadium.
The Seagulls have enjoyed something of a revival recently- signified by their convincing 4-0 win over Galway United three days ago. Fingal, conversely, slumped to a defeat out West but will be heartened by their fight back to being just 4-3 down in the dying moments.
“The lads battled back gamely to score three goals late on in Sligo Rovers and we’ll want to continue on from that for this game against Bray Wanderers,” said Fingal manager Liam Buckley. "The result pushes Sligo ahead of us into fourth spot but we’ll just concentrate on winning our two games this week and see where that takes us.
Sporting have never lost against Bray, but Buckley didn't put much emphasis on their 100% record. “Though our record against Bray Wanderers is excellent, it counts for nothing on Monday unless we’re focussed on the job at hand. They got a fantastic win over Galway and we’ll need to be on our game.”
Bray's Director of Football,Pat Devlin, said he was happy with the win over fellow relegation battlers Galway United on Friday night."The lads put everything into it and I can't ask for more, getting the three points was a real team effort and I'm happy about that".
Devlin goes on acknowledge his side's poor record against Fingal. "Our record against them is abysmal,it will be a tough game, they have everything we would want in regard to resources. Having the three points in the bag going into the game will give us a lot of confidence".
Shane O'Neill, Stephen Brennan,Colm Tresson, and James Kavanagh all return to the Seagulls squad after missing the Galway match through injury. Colin Hawkins comes back for Sporting after a long-term absence, and could start his second match for Fingal since signing from Brighton.
