Sligo Rovers -v- Galway United

Sligo Rovers will hope to continue their bright start to the season against Galway United this Saturday at the Showgrounds when they face a Galway side who will no doubt put up a resilient fight against Paul Cook's charges.
Both managers will have no excuses for defeat, as both sides will enter the game with full strength squads.
The added dimension to this game is of course, the return of Sean Connor (again) to the Showgrounds to face the club who gave him his chance in the League of Ireland with what is now his third side since he left the Showgrounds in 2006. Players on both sides will be facing former employers as Ciarán Foley, Gary Curran and Jamie McKenzie for Galway all played under Seán Connor while at the Bit O'Red, while Iarfhlaith Davoren and Alan Keane once were defensive partners at Terryland Park, no doubt adding to the "derbyness" of the often mocked Connaught derby.
One of the players who have travelled the N17 in search of employment, Ciarán Foley spoke to press ahead of tomorrow’s game, sounding ready and anxious to play against his western neighbours. “I’m really looking forward to our game in Sligo, I know how they play and it will be tough but we will be in top form and do our best to drive ourselves forward in the League."
