Bohemians welcome second from bottom Drogheda United to Dalymount Park on Bank Holiday Monday for their second league clash of the season (kick-off 7.45 PM).
The Gypsies are in desperate need of a win following Friday night's 0-0 draw at home to UCD. Bohs are currently six points off leaders St. Patrick's Athletic, and although they have a game in hand, they need to start picking up points.
Alan Matthews will be looking for a response from his team after the Drogs crashed to a 1-3 home defeat at the hands of rivals Dundalk on Friday night.
The Louth side have already conceded an incredible 25 goals this season and going to the home of the champions won't be easy, but there won't be a better time for Alan Matthews' men, as the Gypsies look low on confidence and are finding it hard to hit the back of the net.
Bohs beat Drogheda 4-2 with late goals at Hunky Dory Park in March and also scored four goals in the teams' last league encounter at Dalymount Park back in October of last season.
However Bohs will probably be without injured trio; Raffaelle Cretaro, Stephen Gray and Owen Heary while midfielder Gareth McGlynn continues to serve his controversial suspension.
Drogheda also have several injury doubts going into the game and could really be on the receiving end of a back lash from the champions, who have had a nervy and shaky start to the season but it looks like the Drogs may just feel the wrath of the Gypsies frustration.
On paper it certainly looks like a home win. With Drogheda only recording a single win all season and conceding more than twice the amount of goals their opponents have it looks a daunting task for the Drogs, despite the champions lack of form.
