Premier Division survival is on offer in Terryland Park on Tuesday evening as Galway United face Bray Wanderers in the Premier Division play-off. Kick-Off 7.45pm.
Both sides ended the regulation season with draws on Friday evening last. Galway United played out a 3-3 draw against Drogheda United despite leading the game on two occasions. Bray Wanderers on the other hand were unlucky not to collect three points against Shamrock Rovers with the 2-2 result handing the Premier Division title to their visitors.
Sean Connor’s will have a near full strength squad to chose from. Several players were rested last Friday. Stephen O'Donnell was also given the opportunity of playing the final twenty minutes on his comeback after a knee operation. Ciaran Foley (ankle) is the only player to miss out for Galway United.
Bray Wanderers remain without defenders Derek Prendergast (ankle) and Sean Houston(cruciate) along with striker John Mulroy (hamstring).Bray do however welcome back Danny O'Connor into the squad following his suspension last weekend.
"Friday night was a game we should have won, but now we have to move on and go into probably our most important game of the season and hope for a solid performance”, Bray's Director of Football Pat Devlin said as he spoke to www.braywanderers.ie. “We know it will be tough as they are a well organised, well managed and well coached side and they have everything to play for like ourselves".
Galway United may feel a little hard done by having to face a team they finished 11 points ahead of, but need to get down to the business. Bray have seen a revival occur since Pat Devlin came in which will have raised expectations at the club.
