Shelbourne will host Mervue United on Friday night (kick-off 8.00 pm) as they look to bounce back from their first defeat of the season last week at Derry City.
Visitors Mervue are still on the lookout for their first win of the 2010 Airtricity First Division season.
Collie O'Neill, Assistant Manager of Shelbourne spoke last week of the disappointment in the Shelbourne camp about "giving away" a win to Derry City.
O'Neill also said that the Reds have “two big games – Mervue on Friday and Limerick on Monday – two wins are needed, otherwise we could be in big trouble”.
Missing for Shels are two first-team players, David Cassidy and Paul Shiels (the former through injury, the latter through suspension) while David Cassidy is doubtful after his recent return to light training following a hamstring injury.
Of the two sides' last three meetings, Shelbourne have won all three. Last season saw Shels demolish the Westerners 7-0 at home and win 4-2 away thanks to two Mervue own goals.
