Salthill Devon -v- Shelbourne

Managerless Shelboure travel to Drom on Saturday to face bottom of the table Salthill Devon. (kick off 7pm)
Salthill have struggled this season so far and have amassed just five points from 15 games so far. Their only three points came after they were awarded a win despite losing to Wexford Youths, as the Youths fielded an ineligible player.
Having only gone down to a single goal last weekend, they will feel they have somewhat of a chance against a struggling Shelbourne team, now without a manager.
Thursday night came the news that Dermot Keely had stepped down from his position as manager of Shelbourne FC. Colin ‘Collie’ O’Neill has been appointed in charge of first team affairs until a permanent manager is appointed.
Last Friday night, Shelbourne lost out at home to Wexford Youths by 2-1. Before his resignation, Dermot Keely described the game as a ‘shocking performance’. He described his team’s response to being put under pressure by the Wexford side in the second half as ‘very disappointing’.
Keely was forthcoming in his judgement as to what is going wrong with results, so far this season falling short of expectations saying “It’s down to me. I have great coaching staff, great facilities, everyone is working hard and everything is being done right off the pitch, but I think I chose the wrong players”.
Shelbourne picked up no new injuries in that defeat to Wexford on Friday last, though a red card was picked up by full back Mick Clarke, which means he joins Paul Shiels on the suspended list.
Ray Scully and Eric Foley, who both missed last week’s defeat, return to the squad. Michael Coburn has returned to training but is a while away from a return. Stephen Quigley remains absent with a hamstring problem.
