Limerick FC -v- Wexford Youths

Limerick FC entertain Wexford Youths at Jackman Park on Friday in what should be a close encounter between the two inconsistent sides (Kick-off 7:45p.m).
Pat Scully’s side started slowly but their season has begun to pick up after many of Limerick’s key players begin to return after injury. Last weekend against Salthill Devon in Galway, Limerick welcomed back club captain Pat Purcell to the heart of an injury hit defence.
Wexford travel west to Limerick hoping to put last Sunday’s result against Derry behind them. Although down to ten men after only 22 minutes, Wexford were outclassed by Stephen Kerry’s side at Ferrycarrig Park.
Despite the inconsistency in the home side's form in recent weeks, the bookies still have Limerick as firm favourites for this fixture, but fans of both sides will know this one will be a close outcome with a goal likely to be the difference.
Wexford, managed by former Limerick FC manager Noel O’ Connor will be difficult to break down away from home and Pat Scully’s side will have to rely on the in-form strike partnership of Shane Clarke and John Tierney to create chances against a resilient Wexford side.
