Bohemians go into their last home game of the season knowing that if they can beat Sligo Rovers and Shamrock Rovers fail to beat Galway United the title is theirs for a second year in a row. It certainly won’t be easy for Pat Fenlon’s men as they know all too well having played Sligo six times this season, resulting in two wins, two draws and two losses. (kick-off 7:35pm)
Both sides come into the game on the back of good results, last Friday Bohs recorded their fourth straight league victory after a 2-0 win over Galway United at Terryland Park. While on the same night, Sligo booked their place in the FAI Ford Cup final with a 1-0 win over Waterford United at the Showgrounds.
While Bohs are battling to be crowned champions, Sligo on the other hand remain only three points off the play-off relegation zone, and know they need to pick up points from their final two games to secure their safety in the Premier Division for next season.
A big game for the champions, Sligo have proved stern opposition for the Gypsies all season and come into the game on a good run of form. However, one must think the experience and class in the Bohs squad should be enough to see them over this final hurdle. Extratime.ie prediction, Bohemians 2 Sligo Rovers 0
