Top of the table Bohemians entertain Dundalk this Friday evening at Dalymount Park(kick-off 7.45pm). Bohs will be looking to get one over on former manager Sean Connor as the start of the second series of fixtures in the Premier Division begins. Bohs have ten points from the last available twelve, conceding no goals in the process with Dundalk themselves on a high following last week’s win at Derry City.
Team News:
Pat Fenlon has several injury doubts ahead of the game. Glen Cronin remains a doubt with a thigh injury while Mark Rossiter remains out with a hamstring injury. Gary Deegan and Joseph Ndo are also doubtful for the match.
For Dundalk, former Bohs defender Liam Burns is out with a hamstring injury. Simon Kelly is also missing with an ankle injury. Michael Collins is not yet available to make his Dundalk debut. There will be fitness tests on Thomas Heary and Michael Daly, who were both experiencing hamstring difficulty in recent weeks.
Manager's Views:
Sean Connor - “We have no doubts about the size of the task that faces us in Dalymount Park. But we are hoping that we can build on last week’s positive result in the Brandywell. Training has been very good and intense all week as players are doing their best to keep their places in the team. The win in Derry has given us a lot of belief. We never doubted that we could cause some surprises this season against the bigger sides. Tomorrow we are hopeful of another positive result against a team that I would rate as the best in the country.”
Pat Fenlon - "Dundalk are going to be very tough opposition considering they went to the Brandywell and took all three points from the game. We’re expecting a tough challenge here at Dalymount."
Form:
With Cork City at home to Sligo Rovers this weekend, it is important Bohs maintain their great form of late to maintain their three point lead at the top of the League of Ireland Premier Division. Dundalk, however, will look to follow up last week's great victory with another good result to keep them clear of relegation trouble at the bottom of the table.
Bohs came out on top in Oriel Park earlier in the season. A single goal, from a Joseph Ndo header, was enough to give Bohs the win in the first match of the season.
