Sporting Fingal -v- Wexford Youths

Just one place separates Sporting Fingal and Wexford Youths in the First Division table, but Fingal will be the side looking to keep themselves in the title hunt tomorrow night.
Sporting, 3rd in the table, play their 4th match in nine days tomorrow night. A win against Mick Wallace’s Wexford Youths would see Sporting go top of the table ahead of both Shelbourne and UCD on goal difference after battling back from behind to win 3-2 away against Kildare County last Friday.
Stephen Paisley (groin injury), Robbie Doyle (shoulder) and Lorcan Fitzgerald (knee) are all doubtful for Fingal, although Fitzgerald could return from the injury that had ruled him out for the last four games. Returning from suspension for Sporting are Shaun Williams and John Frost.
Wexford Youths will look to repeat the shock win they enjoyed last month when they played away to Shelbourne. Youths are coming from a 1-1 home draw with Longford Town on Friday night. Injured for Wexford is Paul Murphy, while David Murphy is out for the season.
Mick Wallace, manager of Wexford Youths, stated; “No will fancy us on Monday night, so we obviously go into the game as underdogs... However, we have beaten Waterford, Shelbourne and UCD away from home this season so you can’t write us off” while Sporting manager Liam Buckley commented that he is “not thinking about the consequence of defeating them [Wexford]. Getting the performance right is the main thing; everything else will then fall into place once that occurs.
Extratime.ie Prediction: Wexford do have the potential to cause an upset at the Morton Stadium, but Sporting look too strong for the Youths. Our prediction is 2-0 to Sporting Fingal.
