The battle for 6th place in the eircom First Division takes place in Kingspan Century Park on Friday night as Monaghan United entertain Longford United. (Kick-off 20:00).

So far this season Monaghan has had the upper hand in this fixture, winning two out of three times. However Longford Town have fared slightly better this month taking 6 points from 12, including a win over title challengers Dundalk. Monaghan United have managed only 4 points from 12, but are coming into the game on the back of a comfortable victory over Wexford Youths.

Apart from Paul Whelan, who is suspended, Monaghan manager Paul Cooke should have a full squad to select from.

Longford will be looking to try out some fringe players in this game and have no suspensions.
