FAI Cup kicks off this weekend

The 2013 Ford FAI Cup kicks off this weekend with eight First Round ties being played up and down the country.

 

The opening two games will take place on Friday night when Leixlip United take on Junior side Sheriff YC at the Amenity Centre in Leixlip, while Tolka Rovers entertain Bangor Celtic at Frank Cooke Park.

 

Saturday sees Cork side St Mary’s AFC take on Dublin side Phoenix, while Navan’s Parkvilla take on Blarney United. Later in the evening St Patrick’s CY face Limerick side Carew Park in a 5pm kick-off at the Ringsend Astro Park.

 

The three remaining ties take place on Sunday with Glenville and Beggsboro providing the early action with an 11am kick-off at Palmerstown school. Later in the day two more games take place in Cork where College Corinthians play Kildare’s Newbridge Town at Corinthians Park, and Everton AFC take on Pike Rovers of Limerick.
