Keegan re-signs for Waterford United

Waterford United have confirmed that Peter Keegan has re-signed for the club.  Keegan confirmed the deal on his twitter page on Sunday and the club have today confirmed the re-signing.

The striker joined the club at the start of last season and impressed in his strike partnership with Sean Maguire; scoring four league goals in doing so.

The 24-year-old is currently recovering from a serious injury suffered in the play-off match against Dundalk in Oriel Park. The club say that they hope Keegan will be back running in 2-3 weeks, ahead of an expected return before the summer.

“The club are delighted to have Peter back on board,” vice-chairman Sam White said. ”He had a really great season with us here last year, and was very unlucky with the injury on Dundalk’s pitch. Whether sooner or later, everyone will be delighted to see him back and starring up front in the blue shirt again!”
