Sullivan makes Waterford United return
Waterford United have confirmed the signing of striker Vinny Sullivan. The Dungarvan native returns for his third spell at the RSC, having spent the past two years with Cork City, where he finished top scorer for the Leeside club in the Premier Division last season.
Vastly experienced, possessed of a tremendous work ethic, and a proven goalscorer for many seasons in the League of Ireland, Vinny's signing will be a major addition to the Blues front line for 2013. The United manager is also delighted to report that two more of last season's senior panel return to the new squad.
Midfielder Ben Ryan celebrated his 22nd birthday by signing up for the new campaign, and the young attacking midfielder will also bolster the manager's options up front for the new campaign. Ben made 29 appearances last season, scoring five times.
Young defender Dylan Mernagh also returns, a significant signing to strengthen the Blues' defence for the coming season. The versatile 21-year-old is equally comfortable anywhere across the back line, and had a hugely impressive season last time out, showing constant improvement through the campaign as he developed into a fine defender.
