Mervue to face Irish Universities XI

Mervue United will be one of the first of the league clubs to engage in pre-season action when they take on an Irish Universities side at Fahy’s field on Monday 21 January. Kick-off will be at 7.45 pm as Johnny Glynn’s side fire the first salvoes of the new season.
Mervue will be looking to improve on last season's form when they finished a disappointing second from bottom of the First Division, just three points ahead of local rivals SD Galway.
