Sullivan moves to Lilywhites from Louth rivals
Dundalk FC have confirmed the signing of John Sullivan this evening from neighbours Drogheda United.
Earlier, revealing the news via his twitter page, the midfielder has decided to join Stephen Kenny’s revolution at Oriel Park. The 21 year-old was part of the Boynesiders voyage to second place in the Airtricity League last season having joined in July 2012 from Shelbourne.
Incidentally, during his spell in Drogheda, Sullivan scored the winning goal in the Louth Derby in August as the Drogs rallied from 2-0 down to secure a last gasp winner with Sullivan finding the net. Previously at Hamilton Academical in Scotland and Limerick, Sullivan adds some experience to an already impressive looking Lilywhites squad.
The former Bohemians youth becomes Kenny’s 14th signing and joins the signed Eoghan Osbourne, John Mountney, Stephen McDonnell and Peter Cherrie along with the new recruits of John Dillon, Patrick Hoban, Keith Ward, Andy Boyle, Dane Massey,Tiarnan Mulvenna, Richie Towell, Stephen O’Donnell and Kurtis Byrne. These are busy times for the Lilywhites and further signings are expected in the coming days as Kenny finalises his squad. Stay tuned to extratime.iefor all the latest news from Oriel Park!
