Sean Maguire has completed his move to Barclays Premier League side West Ham United.

The 18-year-old joins the Hammers on a two-and-a-half-year deal following an impressive season in the First Division with Waterford United where his 13 goals helped them secure a second place finish and reach the final of the Promotion/Relegation play-off which they lost 4-2 on aggregate.

His form for the Blues in 2012 earned him a place on the nominees list for Young Player of the Year alongside Sligo Rovers midfielder David Cawley and St. Patrick’s Athletic winger Chris Forrester who picked up the accolade.

Maguire was invited to London shortly after the season ended for a two week trial period where he sufficiently impressed enough to be offered a contract by the club.
