Dundalk FC have continued their close season rebuilding with the signing of defender Dane Massey.

Massey joins from Bray Wanderers where he made his debut in 2008 and has since gone on to make over 100 appearances with the Seagulls. He makes the switch to county Louth after he nailed down a regular spot for the Wicklow outfit and Lilywhite fans will be hoping he can continue that form for his new club.

The 24 year-old is a full-back by trade but can play anywhere across the back four and his attacking nature will suit the style that new Dundalk manager Stephen Kenny will look to deploy in the coming season.

Massey’s arrival is the seventh to Oriel Park since Kenny took over in mid-November as he joins the re-signed John Mountney and Eoghan Osbourne and the new recruits John Dillon, Patrick Hoban, Keith Ward and Andy Boyle. More movement is expected at the border venue over the coming days so stay tuned to extratime.ie for all the latest comings and goings at Dundalk!
