Derry City have confirmed the signing of Sean Houston on a one-year contract.

The Donegal man started his career with Fanad United, and has also spent time with Finn Harps and UCD before signing for Bray Wanderers in 2010.

The 23-year-old played twenty four times for the Seagulls last season, scoring three times in the previous campaign. The player  can played either midfield or full back and provides more coverage to City manager Devine.

Speaking to the Sentinel, manager Declan Devine was delighted with the capture:  “Sean is a quality player, who can play in a number of positions, but his best position is midfield,”

“He’s a box to box type player, who can also play at in defence; in my opinion he was Bray’s best player last season, so I’m delighted to have got him and Paddy Kavanagh."
