Dundalk have today announced their first batch of signings for the 2013 season. The Lilywhites have re-signed left-back Eoghan Osbourne and midfielder John Mountney while they have added two from the west – Patrick Hoban, a young striker from Mervue United and midfielder John Dillon joins from champions Sligo Rovers.

The quartet are Stephen Kenny’s first signings and he is looking to continuity by retaining the services of Osbourne and Mountney. Osbourne will be spending his third season at Oriel Park having signed for the club before the 2011 season. Mountney will be spending his second season at the club having joined in January of this year.

Hoban, a 21 year-old striker comes in from Mervue United having spent a year across the water with Bristol City. The youngster will be hoping to have the same impact as team-mate Mountney had in the Premier Division last season.

Dillon moves to the east having been part of the Sligo Rovers squad that became league champions a few weeks ago and he was also part of the squad which won back-to-back FAI Cups in 2010 and 2011.

Kenny was named Dundalk boss two weeks ago and with now 4 players signed, preparations for the 2013 season are well and truly underway. The club hope to announce more signings before the end of the week.
