Browne named U19 October POTM

Cork City midfielder Alan Browne has been named as the Airtricity U19 League Player of the Month for October.

The 17-year-old had an impressive month, turning in a series of quality performances and scored four goals in three games in the process, including a hat-trick against Salthill Devon.

City currently sit third in the Elite Division, just two points behind joint leaders UCD and Shamrock Rovers.

Browne, who joined Cork from Ringmahon Rangers, received his award from Ronan O’Connor of Airtricity on Saturday before their Enda McGuill Cup game against Athlone Town which saw City progress to the semi-finals on a 5-1 scroreline.
