Shelbourne have completed the signing of Shamrock Rovers defender Jack Memery.

The 20 year-old moves to Tolka Park, having spent the last two seasons at Tallaght. Last season, he was part of the Rovers first team squad, although he failed to feature prominently.

Memery plays primarily as a left back but can also be deployed at centre half, and had played his youth football at Crumlin United before signing for Rovers in 2010.

He becomes the sixth player this week to sign at Shelbourne, joining fellow new signings Pat Flynn from St Patrick’s Athletic, and Sean Brennan from Drogheda United, as well as Philly Hughes, Stephen Hurley and Glenn Cronin who all put pen to paper on new contracts with the club.

Shelbourne manager Alan Mathews is currently in talks with a number of players, and is expected to announce further signings soon.
