Drogheda announce signings for 2013

With preparations for 2013 well under way across the league, Drogheda United are the latest club to declare a core group of players signed up for the coming year.
New to Drogheda United colours will be striker Gary O’Neill who made 14 league appearances for Shamrock Rovers last term. O’Neill is a league veteran and can also count Shelbourne, St Patrick’s Athletic and Sporting Fingal among his former clubs.
Others to re-sign for Mick Cooke’s side include goalkeepers Gabriel Sava and Michael Schlingermann, defenders Stephen Quigley, Derek Prendergast, Brian Gannon and Philip Hand, midfielders Eric Foley, Gavin Brennan and Cathal Brady, and talismanic striker Declan ‘Fabio’ O’Brien.
With a successful season behind them and European football to look forward to next summer, Cooke and the club will be looking to strike while the iron is hot and make further key signings over the coming months.
