ET Columnist McFaul joins St Pats
Shane McFaul will be back strutting his stuff in Richmond Park this season, as he announced that he will be returning to play for St. Patrick's Athletic for the upcoming 2013 season.
McFaul will be coming back to Inchicore after spending a year with the Finnish side, FC Haka. He made 22 appearances for Haka, in a season that saw them relegated for the first time in 15 years.
The 26 year old has played for Pats before, as he was part of the 2011 side that progressed to the 3rd Qualifying Phase of the Europa League before being knocked out by Karpaty Lviv. Indeed, McFaul has also played under current Pats manager Liam Buckley while he was at the helm of Sporting Fingal. McFaul has also had spells at UCD, Brighton and Hove Albion, Notts County and Virginia Beach in the United Soccer Leagues.
McFaul will link up with new Saint midfielders, Killian Brennan and Conan Byrne, who were announced as St. Patrick's Athletic players yesterday. Pat's have no doubt added to their midfield with such gusto given the recent losses of James Chambers and Sean O'Connor to fellow Dublin side, Shamrock Rovers.
