Saints add Brennan & Byrne to 2013 squad
St. Patrick's Athletic have announced the double signing of Killian Brennan and Conan Byrne from Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne, respectively.
Both players will join with Liam Buckley's FAI cup runners-up for the 2013 season, with Pat's squad also bolstered by the announcements of some re-signings.
PFAI Young player of the Year Christopher Forrester, Jake Carroll, Ian Bermingham, John Russell, Ger O’Brien, Conor Kenna, Kenny Browne, Anthony Flood and Christy Fagan will all play with the Saints again after a relatively successful 2012 season.
Conan Byrne played under Liam Buckley for two seasons at Sporting Fingal before departing for Shelbourne upon Fingal's demise. The midfielder was a regular in the Sporting side which won promotion to the Premier Division and an FAI cup in 2010.
Pat's are Killian Brennan's third Dublin club, with the midfielder having previously played with Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers. The Drogheda native will link up with several former teammates at Richmond Park, including Christopher Forrester, Ger O'Brien, Christy Fagan and Anthony Flood.
The club expect to announce further signings in the coming weeks.
