Three players depart Sligo Rovers

Sligo Rovers boss Ian Baraclough has announced that Liam Buchanan, John Dillon and Mark McGoldrick will be not be re-signing with the club for the 2013 season.

Buchanan arrived at the club in the summer with a tremendous goal scoring record, but he had to settle for a place on the bench due to the form of star man Mark Quigley.

Liverpool native Dillon signed for the Champions in 2010 and enjoyed an impressive debut season, but his finest hour came in the 2011 season when he scored an injury time winner for The Bit O'Red against Shamrock Rovers to secure their first victory in Tallaght Stadium. There were many hopes for the midfielder this season after scoring 11 goals last year, but he failed to replicate that form and ultimately spent much of the second half season as an unused sub.

McGoldrick is a product of the Sligo Rovers youth academy, but despite featuring in the match day squad for a number of games in the last three seasons, he spent much of his time on loan at First division sides Finn Harps and Athlone Town.
