This Weekend's Suspensions

The following suspensions and sanctions were issued by the Disciplinary Committee at their meeting on Wednesday 24 September 2008.

Suspensions are effective as and from Wednesday 8 October unless otherwise stated. Suspensions are effective at first team level unless otherwise stated.

Denis Behan (Cork City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Greg Bolger (U.C.D.) suspended for ONE (1) A Championship match and fined €15 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Derek Doyle (Dundalk) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Robbie Doyle (Sporting Fingal) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v St. Patrick’s Athletic (11.09.08). Automatic suspension in next FAI Ford Cup match as per FIFA directive already served and ONE (1) competitive match as and from Wednesday, 8th October.

Jamie Duffy (Dundalk) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Colin Healy (Cork City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €40 as a result of reaching eight (8) penalty points.

Patrick Kavanagh (Bray Wanderers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Karl Laffan (St. Patrick’s Athletic) suspended for THREE (3) competitive matches and fined €25 as a result of having been sent off v Kildare County (13.09.08). Automatic suspension in next Under 20 League match as per FIFA directive already served and TWO (2) A Championship matches as and from Wednesday, 8th October.

Neil McCafferty (Finn Harps) suspended for ONE (1) eircom League of Ireland match and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Drogheda United (12.09.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served.

Luke McConnell (Salthill Devon) suspended for ONE (1) A Championship match and fined €15 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Gareth McGlynn (Derry City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Conor Meade (Cobh Ramblers) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches and fined €25 as a result of having been sent off v Cork City (09.09.08). Automatic suspension in next A Championship match as per FIFA directive already served and ONE (1) first team competitive match as and from Wednesday, 8th October.

Danny Murphy (Cork City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €40 as a result of reaching eight (8) penalty points.

Dan Murray (Cork City) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Derek O’Brien (St. Patrick’s Athletic) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Bohemians (08.09.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served and ONE (1) competitive match as and from Wednesday, 8th October.

Stephen Quigley (Waterford United) suspended for TWO (2) competitive matches and fined €50 as a result of having been sent off v Monaghan United (12.09.08). Automatic suspension in next eircom League of Ireland match as per FIFA directive already served and ONE (1) competitive match as and from Wednesday, 8th October.

Daryl Robson (Bray Wanderers) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.

Paul Shiels (Dundalk) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €40 as a result of reaching eight (8) penalty points.

Shelbourne were fined €300 as a result of a pitch encroachment by their supporters v Limerick 37 (12.09.08).

Conor Sinnott (Wexford Youths) suspended for ONE (1) competitive match and fined €25 as a result of reaching four (4) penalty points.
