Shamrock Rovers 2 Bray Wanderers 2

Bray Wanderers came from two down on Tuesday night to secure a draw against Shamrock Rovers at Tolka Park.

The first half was a dull affair, the only excitement coming in the fourth minutes when Joey Ndo struck the crossbar with a right footed free kick. But Padraig Amond celebrated his second call up to the Irish Under 21 squad, with a cool finish from close range four minutes after the restart. Amond then added a second after sixty six minutes, heading home a Simon Madden cross from the left.

Rovers two goal lead was to last less than a minute. Substitute Gareth Coughlan broke free on the right, and from a tight angle inside the box finished with a low drive, that keeper Robert Duggan should have perhaps done better with.

Bray pushed forward looking for a second, and came close with fifteen minutes to go. Former Rovers favourite Ger Rower having two efforts cleared off the line. Alan Cawley struck the games final goal in the eighty third minute. Cawley struck a free kick from twenty two yards that went right into the top corner.
