Postponement: Athlone Town vs. Sporting Fingal

Tonight's League of Ireland First Division game between Athlone Town and Sporting Fingal at Lissywoollen has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
This is the third time this season that a game at the midlands venue has been called off due to such circumstances, and creates more fixture chaos following last night's farcical events in Wexford.
The match, which was rearranged for this evening after being originally put back due to Fingal's participation in the FAI Cup quarter-finals, has yet to be re-fixed for another date.
At this point, next Saturday's visit of promotion hopefuls Shelbourne to Athlone is not under threat. Fingal, meanwhile, will be back in action on Friday when they enter Last Chance Saloon against fellow title chasers Waterford United at the Morton Stadium.
