Manager Aaron Callaghan told Bohemians.ie about his hopes for the rest of the 2012 season.

“The onus is on us to go out and win the games. If we make sure that the attitude of the players is right we can get a run of wins.”

He also spoke about the FAI Cup exit at the hands of Dundalk.

“There may have been a bit of stage fright. The euphoria of beating Shamrock Rovers was probably still in a lot of our minds and we were in the unusual position of being favourites.

“From our point of view the preparation for the game was no different. But if your head is not right as a player going into any match you’re going to get your comeuppance.

“In football you always have your next game to get over a disappointment. It’s done and dusted now and we have been focusing on the Cork City game.”

CORK CITY

Cork City will be hoping to gain three points and keep Bohemians at an arm’s length with a victory on Friday night. The Rebel Army comfortably beat Bray Wanderers 2-0 at Turner’s Cross last time out, and will be hoping to string three consecutive wins together for the first time in 2012.

Manager Tommy Dunne spoke to CorkCityFC.net about his team’s chances ahead of the game.

“We have lost one and drawn one against Bohemians so far this season, though I think we played very well in the drawn game. We have the incentive of trying to win the game tomorrow, which would put us in a good position going into the final four games.”

“Bohs are quite a similar side to us in many ways and they have shown they are capable of beating any team in the league.

“Aaron Callaghan has done a fantastic job with them and they try to get the ball down and play, so we know it will be a tough game for us. We need to be better than we were in our last two meetings with them, and I would hope that we will be more competitive this time around.

“We have already started our preparations for next year, and we want to keep that momentum going.”

This is the third and final meeting between the two sides this season. Bohemians are on top in that sense, with a win and a draw over their Southern opposition.

Should Cork City emerge victorious from Friday night, it will be their third win in a row – something they haven’t managed yet in 2012.
