Cork City will be looking for a strong finish to the season starting Monday night against Bray Wanderers, and will be hoping for a big win in front of their own supporters.

Tommy Dunne has several injury problems to contend with going into Monday night’s clash, with the likes of Colin Healy, John Dunleavy and Dan Murray all expected to miss out.

The Rebel Army will be looking to claim successive victories for the first time since May on Monday, following their 1-0 win against Derry in the Brandywell on Friday evening.

It has without doubt been a frustrating season for Cork City’s supporters, who have only seen their side win three times at home.

Manager Dunne will no doubt be content with the club’s maiden top flight campaign, as he has said from the start that consolidation was his main aim.

BRAY WANDERERS

Bray Wanderers will be looking to Monday night as a potential springboard to propel themselves away from the threat of relegation.

They are currently seven points clear of bottom club Dundalk (although the Louth club have a game in hand), and are level on points with the next best placed team UCD.

They’ll have to make do without three key players however, as Kevin O’Connor, Jason Byrne and Dean Zambra will all miss the trip down south through suspension.

They fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Europe -chasing Drogheda United on Friday night, and many are citing the absence of Byrne as a key factor in the sides recent trouble to scoring goals, although Kieran Waters is still a serious threat for Cork to think about.

MATCH STATS

Cork City have won just three times at Turner’s Cross this campaign, whereas Bray have three wins on the road.

The last time these two sides met at Turners Cross resulted in a 1-1 draw back in March, while the most recent meeting was a 3-0 win for Cork in June.

City have scored in each of their last four games, whereas Bray have scored in three of their last four.
